Friday 23/09/2011 . Palestine declaration of the State 194,The Popular Committee organized a massive march in Bil'in in support of the Palestinian leadership and the Palestinian people in their demand to recognize the Palestinian state and gain membership to the United Nations
Dozens of people suffered asphyxiation in the weekly demonstration was organized by the popular committee against the wall and settlements.
The villagers of Bil'in together with International and Israeli peace activists joined a nonviolent demonstration in support of the Palestinian statehood bid..
The march started following Friday prayer from the center of the village and headed to the land that was restored. Participants carried Palestinian flags and banners proclaiming 'Palestinian state 194', balloons of colors Palestinian flag Protesters also carried an American flag with the word Veto printed on it, and flew kites carrying Palestinian flags. Protesters then burned the American flag and put it on the fence separating them from their lands. And they raised Libya revolution flags , They chanted the national calls for the end of the occupation, destruction of the apartheid wall, and steadfastness with the principles of Palestine. Upon the arrival of participants to the Abu Limon reserve, the kids launched balloons carrying flags of Palestinian state in the air
As protesters attempted to go through the fence to reach their confiscated land, Israeli troops operating their showered them with concussion grenades, tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets which caused dozens to choke. The wounded were treated by field medics of the Palestinian Red Crescent. The intensive use of gas bombs and concussion grenades set fire to the nearby olive trees, however the villagers managed to put it out.
