Prisoners have
entered the 17th day in the hunger strike. Meanwhile clashes at Ofer
prison continue in solidarity with prisoners detained there and at many
other Israel detention centers.
The response by Israeli soldiers has been violent and repressive, yet the hunger strike continues.
On 3/5/2012 arrests were made, and many injured by tear gas fired into the crowds by IOF soldiers. An elderly man peacefully waving a Palestinian flag was caught in the tear gas bombs and suffered intensely while others tried to aid him. Meanwhile, many protesters were fired at by soldiers as they continued their protest
